The Mr. & Mrs. Gillenwater have a true whirlwind romance. They bring true meaning to the phrase, “when you know, you know.” After a few short months of dating, Zach gave Heather a gorgeous ring and asked her to be his forever. Part of Heather’s gift to her groom that day included a keychain inscribed with, “You’re my favorite.” The smiling groom said that’s a phrase she tells him on a daily basis. The two together are enough to make you melt into a puddle.
Their gorgeous October day was breezy and cool. There is something about the sunlight in autumn that is somehow soft and comforting. The rays are golden and warm instead of harsh and white. Framed by the classic white Homestead barn, Zach and Heather exchanged their vows before an expressive and emotional crowd of family and friends.
The grand barn was a toasty and warm retreat from the cool October evening. Tears flowed as Heather’s dad surprised her with a heartfelt rendition of Heartland’s, “I Loved Her First,” as he strummed his guitar. Sincere speeches and emotional prayers were shared and the celebration continued into the night amongst happy, hand-picked music, sweet stolen moments between the Mr. & Mrs., and everyone seemed to be smiling from ear to ear the entire event.
