“Two things I’ll forever be sure of,
the sun will always fall for the moon
& I will always fall for you.”
-R. M. Broderick
There is no doubt that Tyler and Amy are meant to be together. They met their freshman year at Villanova and went on their first date almost 9 years ago! After only two weeks of dating, they told each other they loved each other during a game of basketball, and 8 years later Tyler proposed to Amy in that exact spot. Over the years their bond has only grown stronger. They are similar in many ways, but balance each other out where it is needed. Together their lives are filled with adventure. They both love the outdoors, being active, and traveling the world.
This wedding day started at the Logan Hotel and was filled with excitement as the girls got ready. Amy shared special moments with her mom and sister as they helped her into her dress, followed by first looks with her bridesmaids, nephew, and dad. Fresh off the golf course, the groomsmen made their way back to the hotel to get ready for the day. Tyler got to enjoy those special moments with his parents as well as they exchanged notes and gifts.
Just steps away at the Franklin Institute, the most stunning ceremony was being prepared on the roof with the Philly skyline as the backdrop. The normally very stoic groom beamed as his beautiful bride came down the aisle. The officiant shared highlights of Amy and Tyler’s love story, including that afternoon on the basketball court where it all began. Amy and Tyler read vows that they had written for each other, which drew every emotion from tears to belly laughs from the guests in attendance. After a kiss, the newlyweds descended the aisle as the sun was just beginning to set, drenching the city below in golden light.
In true Philly form, the bridal party was announced into the reception to the Rocky theme song. Tyler and Amy shared their first dance to to I Hope Tomorrow is Like Today, a song from their favorite movie and soundtrack, Wedding Crashers. Amy’s dad welcomed everyone before a delicious dinner was served. Amy’s sister and maid of honor started the evening off with a toast, and Tyler’s brother gave a quick speech followed by a special song he and his girlfriend had prepared, which garnered a standing ovation and brought the bride to tears. The cake was cut which signaled it was party time, and the bride and groom danced the night away surrounded by their family and friends.
We loved being a part of this day and wish you two the best time on your honeymoon in Bali, and many more adventures in the years to come!
