“From the moment
I wake up
to the moment
I go to bed’
you
are the
in-between.”
– Andrew Durst
Blue skies, abundant sunshine and stretching train tracks…the perfect scenery for this March wedding day. We absolutely LOVE photographing at The Booking House. A hidden gem, tucked away in the little town of Manheim, PA. The venue, paired with George & Sarah, was enough to have us extremely excited for all that this day would hold.
We began the day with Sarah and her girls. Cool, calm and collected, Sarah was able to embrace the morning. The previous months of organization that preceded the day, allowed her to be at ease as the details unfolded. The flowers arrived perfectly ornate with lilacs, an addition the florist didn’t know if the current season would prove to have available. The finishing touches of the baby’s breathe and vail were placed in Sarah’s hair, her lace dress hugging her just right and this bride was ready to wow her hubby.
Haley met up with the groom and groomsmen, in what we consider the best groomsmen suite around. A cigar lounge in the second story of this historic building, which at one point was actually a cigar warehouse. The old brick structure with its thick chestnut beams and wood floors is the perfect backdrop for all kinds of photos.
The ceremony was set, twinkling lights combined with sunshine pouring in through the windows. Friends and family arrived, filling the rows with familiar faces to this bride and groom. The ceremony was short and sweet, officiated by a dear friend of George’s and now Sarah’s. Upon the declaration of their marriage, we whisked the couple away outdoors to embrace the abounding sunshine and vibrant skies. Even without a previous engagement session, they fell into ease with one another. We had a blast galavanting around the property, this groom helping his bride down railroad tracks. Adventurous couple for the win.
After meeting the bridal party in the morning, and knowing the tunes of DJ Mast would be filling the evening, we knew there was an awesome party awaiting. Heartfelt speeches were shared followed by dances with both the mother-of-the-groom and father-of-the-bride. Cake was cut, the music was playing and even a crepe bar was opened.
George and Sarah ended the evening with the sparkle of lights as they exited The Booking House.
It was the most perfect Spring day and we were so glad to be a part of it. We wish you both all of the good things in your marriage together!
