Rob & Sophie {Wedding}

“If my love were an ocean,
there would be no more land.
If my love were a desert,
you would only see sand.
If my love were a star-
late at night, only light.
And if my love could grow wings,
I’d be soaring in flight”

Rob & Sophie {Wedding}

April 14th, what a day it was. Anyone in the Northeast is bound to remember, for years to come, the endless Winter of 2018 that we are (hopefully) inching fully out of. It seems we have been on January 57th for weeks now. But out of nowhere, the sun decided to do its duty and showed up in all of its splendor. This April day could have easily been disguised as a July one, but we were not complaining.

We arrived in Baltimore, the city where this bride grew up in. The girls were busily prepping, in matching red and white tanks, fitting for this Temple University alumna. Champagne was popped, hair was set and it was time for Sophie to slip into her dress; a simple yet elegant lace gown with spaghetti straps.

We traveled to Cylburn Arboretum, a GORGEOUS venue tucked away outside of Baltimore. Considered an urban oasis, stretching over 200 acres. The previous days of sunshine, had FINALLY sparked the daffodil’s interest, and their white and yellow colors covered the grass. Even the cherry blossoms decided to show up.

Rob has a quiet demeanor, he is steady and doesn’t show his emotions easily, but when he sees Sophie…his face lights up. There first look was picture perfect. Following, we joined the bridal party, an incredibly fun bunch that made our job a breeze. There is no question how insanely loved Rob and Sophie are by those that surround them. And after getting to know this couple, we can see why. They are the perfect combination of sweet and goofy, caring and adventurous.

We ventured back indoors, taking a break from the hot sun, to witness and document the signing of the Ketubah. Rob and Sophie were lead through the sacred signing of their marriage contract, surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Following, the ceremony took place in a sun drenched room, with windows stretching behind the Huppah.

Guests were dismissed and enjoyed cocktail hour as the sun set, leaving us with it beautiful last light. At to be expected, the reception was a blast. From the Hora to the dance party, this crew knows how to have a good time.

Oh how we loved this day, and loved this couple even more! Rob and Sophie, thank-you for choosing us to be a part of it!
