“Marriage: Love is the reason. Lifelong friendship is the gift. Kindness is the cause. Til’ death do us part is the length.” -Fawn WeaverThere is something I love about a double header. Two days, completely zoned in, capturing two unique and precious love stories. Coming off of our Friday beach wedding, I wasn’t sure what could top it…cue Erick & Andrea.
The weather was pristine, a dream for anyone who planned their wedding at the end of October. This weekend was a gamble that was absolutely worth the risk. The trees at the Homestead had finally begun to shift from lush green to golden yellows and oranges. A slight breeze blew threw the property, just enough to pair perfectly with the low 70’s temperatures.
Inside the bridal suite, Andrea and her girls calmly wrapped up their prep as they drank their mimosas and relaxed in their comfy flannels. The men, just a stone throw away, straightened their ties and pinned their boutonnieres.
Erick is strong and steady. He exudes pride; the good kind. He is so evidently proud of his girl, proud of his family, and proud to continually protect those around him as he serves in the police force. Andrea is sweet, outgoing and fun yet has a quiet confidence about her. Together they are just right.
Family and friends traveled from near and far, the blankets were set by the outdoor fire pit awaiting the evenings cooler temperatures and the flowers added the perfect amount of color to the property. It was time for yet another spectacular Homestead ceremony.
The day was pure perfection from start to finish. DJ Freez paved the way with some epic tunes, filling the barn with inviting beats that even got a 93 year old Grandpa on the dance floor.
As I left this wedding and wrapped up the weekend of shooting, I was humbled. What an honor it is to capture love this pure and unshaken. Victoria and I were so grateful to be a part of your day. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Baker!
