David & Emily’s wedding day was a lovely ordeal, from start to finish. Not only was the weather perfection, but it seemed as if every detail just fell right into place. Months of careful preparation and the day had finally arrived!
Emily and her girls had their hair and makeup done off site and arrived to place all the final details; from the dresses to the shoes to the jewelry. After a quick pop of the champagne, we were on our way. Once Emily was in her gown, each bridesmaid (and bridesmen) had their own brief, individual first look. It was quickly evident Emily has the greatest squad. Each person shared so authentically in the joy of the day.
The gentleman were dapper in their grey suits. Pins took the place of boutonnières and completed the look on the edge of their lapels.
Emily and David chose to share letters right before their first look. The anticipation built as they read the loving words from one another. Then in a moment of pure joy, they turned to see one another, simultaneously sharing in a mutual first look.
We walked the grounds, taking advantage of every nook and cranny. The bridal party showed up to slay, and looked fabulous together in their classic black and grey look.
This bride and groom were a breeze to photograph. They fall into an ease with one another, and their adoration can be read so easily on one another’s faces.
The ceremony took place on the lawn, white chairs invited friends and family to be witness to the love and commitment that David and Emily were choosing. Emily’s father officiated the ordeal, adding a sentimental and sweet flair to the nuptials.
The rest of the evening was a wonderful mix of delicious cuisine, old and new friends connecting, heartfelt speeches and of course, plenty of dancing.
