Spenser & Samantha {Wedding by Haley}

“The only parts of sunshine that I will ever need are the parts that shine down over you and me.”

Spenser & Samantha {Wedding by Haley}

You’re seeing that right – two Homestead days in a row! If it had to be anywhere I’m glad it was here, with the best weather and the best couples. Sam and Spenser’s wedding day was the kind of day that tricks you into thinking summer isn’t over yet. Blue skies, big white clouds, bright sun and an absolutely breathtaking sunset.

They got married in the Tobacco barn surrounded by all of their closest family and friends. Sam walked down the aisle with her dad on one arm, and her stepdad on the other. Spenser and Sam read their own vows to one another, sharing special sentiments and inside jokes, bringing either smiles or happy tears to everyone in attendance.

As their guests snacked and drank on the Farm House lawn, Spenser and Sam snuck away to spend some time on their own (well, along with the photographers), to take in their day and have a few moments before the party began.

Inside the Grand Barn the tables were being set in preparation for the reception. The bridal party was announced, and everyone got to their feet and cheered as loud as they could when the new Mr and Mrs Henry were announced. After sharing special dances with each other and their parents, we heard speeches from the Matron of Honor and Best Man. Hess BBQ served a delicious dinner, and after everyone had eaten their fill and spent some time enjoying the last of the evening light playing lawn games, the dance floor filled up and Sam and Spenser danced until the very last moment of the evening when everyone was called out to make a line of sparklers to send off the newlyweds.
