“Sitting next to you is like taking a sip of eternity, the sun, the stars, the sky, never tasted so good.”
Christy Ann Martin

Joe and Kate’s wedding day was perfect. I could not have planned a smoother day myself. On a cool fall morning we arrived at the Philadelphia Cricket Club to the most chill bride and groom, along with their bridal party. The girls were eating breakfast while finishing up hair and makeup while the guys were across the clubhouse getting ready themselves. Gifts for the bride and groom from each other were hand delivered by members of the bridal party – as has become a wedding tradition in their friend group.
Kate’s mom and best friend, Lisa, zipped and buttoned her into her dress, and mom came to save the day once again when a button popped off the dress while fastening it. The other bridesmaids waited anxiously to see the bride in her gown, and squealed with excitement when they got to see her for the first time. The bridesmaids then watched from the windows as Joe got to see Kate for the first time. A few tears and plenty of tight hugs were shared. We took full advantage of the bright midday sun for photos to offset the slight chill of early fall, and there were no shortage of unique backdrops for photos around the Cricket Club. Though ironically, not as many cricket fields as one would guess.
Rows of white chairs were set in the front lawn as guests arrived for the ceremony. After the families and friends had processed, Kate made her way down the long aisle, arm-in-arm with her dad. After exchanging vows and rings, the officiant prayed over them, and they walked up the aisle once again – this time as husband and wife!
The sun set just in time to get some photos before the reception began. While guests were occupied with snacks and drinks, Joe and Kate got to take a few minutes alone to take in their day.
Back inside, guests anxiously awaited for the announcement of the new Mr and Mrs Bruno to get the party started, and party they did. As soon as dinner was done and the music began, everyone brought their best moves to the dance floor. It was such a great night, truly a fun day to be a part of. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Bruno!
