Ryan and Megan are the kind of people that you can meet just once and feel as though you’ve known them a lifetime. They’re the kind of people that look you in the eye, care to know your name, and constantly choose kindness. Theirs was the type of wedding day where we as vendors felt more like guests. Every step of the way, they checked in on our well-being just as frequently as we checked in on theirs. A couple like that is one that you will never forget- their day was so beautiful and emotional, and nestled deep in our souls.
Their love story tells the tale of a persistent man vying so diligently for the woman who stole his heart the moment they met. As time passed and Megan’s family caught wind of Ryan’s race to catch Megan’s attention, they fell for him slowly but surely as she did. Ryan in his calm confidence managed to sweep the whole family off of their feet and he and Megan fell in love during their schooling in Pittsburgh.
Their day has been carefully planned for a year and a half and luck would have it that they were rewarded with the most beautiful October afternoon. While we were initially greeted with thick clouds and wind, the skies parted to reveal glorious, golden light just as Megan descended down the stairs onto the cobblestone courtyard of the Barn at Silverstone to meet her groom in front of a grand stone fireplace stranded with fall blooms. The pair shared nervous giggles as they stated their intent, and as Megan’s tears fell as she said her vow, her family and friends cried with her. She even had family travel from Mexico and California to join them in Pennsylvania for this joyous event, making the day even more special.
Inside the historic barn, guests were served a feast fit for kings. As guests ate, we snuck the new Cornells out to take advantage of the golden hour that we thought for sure would be masked by clouds. I’m telling you, this day was perfect! The celebration was sweet and sentimental with parent dances and heartfelt speeches; it was fun and lighthearted playing the newlywed “shoe game”; and it was just downright fun with a full dance floor, donuts for everyone, and an incredible photobooth. Ryan and Megan, we are beyond glad that we got to spend this day alongside you! We wish you all of the best in your life together!
