“I vow to help you to love life, to always hold you with tenderness, and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed, and to share the silence when they are not, to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.” -Unknown
Merv and Rosie have a classic yet quirky whirlwind romance. Inspired by their siblings, they both knew during their first messaging conversation on Facebook that this was it.
Tessa and I ranted and raved about the perfect weather, how the day was flowing so well, and about how lucky the couple was to have the BEST day to have a wedding. Merv replied at one point, “It could’ve been raining and still been the best day,” his voice dripping with love and sincerity.
Beyond the ideal wedding day, these two have the ideal love. Rosie is smiley and outgoing, I would guess always the life of the party (and certain to keep Merv young forever). He is calm and steady, her anchor and voice of reason. They very obviously have a relationship based on respect and adoration, and it was a joy to witness their union.
On this balmy July afternoon, the Stoltzfus’s joined their hearts together forever in the grand barn on the beautiful Stoltzfus Homestead surrounded and celebrated by their wonderful families. The speech by Rosie’s 13 year old sister was enough to bring me to tears; I’ve never heard such eloquence in someone so young, or so much admiration in one persons voice. This couple is clearly a bright light for all those who know them.
Merv and Rosie, thank you for inviting us to take part in your day! We adored spending the day with you and your families. Enjoy your week on your private island in St. Lucia! (Literally. They have an ISLAND). All the best!
