Matt and Jenica are just the sweetest couple. They love each other so much and they have a great group of family and friends around them. Their wedding day at White Chimneys was just about as good as it could get. The weather was perfect – not too hot for a summer day, and no rain so everyone could enjoy the outdoor festivities.
Jenica and Matt chose to wait to see each other until the ceremony, and as all the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their way down the long aisle, the anticipation built. When the white fence opposite the altar opened and Jenica appeared with her dad, Matt’s face erupted in that enormous grin that made Jenica smile as well. During the ceremony their officiant offered verses and sentiments for a strong marriage, and everyone in attendance agreed that they would support this new couple. After exchanging vows and rings, they sealed their marriage with a kiss and headed back down the aisle hand in hand.
After taking some time to greet family and their bridal party, Matt and Jenica got a few moments alone to take in their day as we snapped photos. Cocktail hour gave guests time to enjoy the nice weather, and also the beautiful gardens around the venue, while snacking on hors d’oeuvres. The newest bride and groom were announced to their reception and shared a first dance together. Before dancing with their parents, the best man, maid of honor, and both fathers gave toasts to the newlyweds.
Dinner was a little non-traditional, but everyone was more than okay with it. Matt’s family owns a pizza restaurant and catering business, so homemade pizzas were on the menu, and while the slices were snatched up pretty quickly, there seemed to be an endless flow of fresh pizzas coming out of the kitchen. For dessert, the donut table that had been tempting everyone thus far was finally opened, and the pastries were complemented by homemade gelato, also from the family restaurant.
After dancing until they couldn’t dance anymore, all the guests lined up outside and lit sparklers in a tunnel to send off the new Mr. and Mrs. Cocco!
