the way I fell for you.

Lucas & Andrea {Wedding by Tessa}

I very rarely shoot a wedding by myself, but each year I end up making an exception or two. This year it was Andrea & Lucas. I couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of this day. Andrea is a dear friend from Living Word Academy, the school we both attended in high-school. Andrea was the upperclassman that became a friend while carpooling to and from our various sports activities over a span of two years. Over that time, I quickly learned that Andrea was an all around fantastic person. She loves her friends and family well, has a zeal and passion for life and a determination that is contagious and is just down-right fun to be around. After meeting her fiance a few months back, I knew she had met her match. Lucas is equally as caring and also shares that same determination to not only live life but live it with purpose and direction. Both would consider themselves Type-A, and while sometimes that would mean a personality clash, that couldn’t be further from the case with these two.

Everything was set for their October 26th wedding. The rain decided to hold off (thank-you, Jesus), the air was crisp and there was nothing but joy and excitement for the day ahead. The girls prepped in the sweet bridal space, as the gents tightened their suspenders and had the boutonnieres pinned. Shortly there after, it was time for Lucas to see his bride. They met under the beautiful white arbor at The White Chimneys, the most charming venue nestled in the rolling hills of Lancaster County. Lucas beamed from ear to ear as his turned to see his stunning bride.

We met up with the rest of their crew, a mix of friends and family who were excited to stand by their two dear friends. We trekked over the grounds, taking advantage of all the sweet little areas of the venue. In particular, the sun decided to grace us with its presence for about 20 minutes and you better believe we milked it for all its worth. The girls and I spent some time in the garden area, complete with beautiful brick work and a lovely fountain. It was a little slice of Europe, discretely hidden in the country side of Lancaster.

The ceremony was short and sweet, vows were exchanged and rings were placed and the new Mr. & Mrs. Starsinic were announced. The rest of the evening was spent dining and celebrating this wonderful union.

What an honor it was to document this love story! So excited for you both. Thanks for having me be a part of it!
