“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”
Khalil Gibran
Ken & Vicki are a blast to be around. Vicki is fiery and outgoing while Ken is steady and composed. Together they mesh and balance perfectly.
This couple met shortly after the diapers stage, possible napping beside one another during their pre-school days. But it wasn’t until over a decade later that their title of “acquaintances” changed. Vicki came back from college over winter break and ran into Ken again. Ken was returning from deployment and the two hit it off. The rest is history.
Long distance and life changes has only strengthened their connection. It hasn’t always been easy but they have learned how to prioritize their relationship and keep a positive outlook through it all.
When I met with Vicki a few months back I knew I had to photograph their day. She is a blast and within minutes of meeting Ken at their engagement session I knew this couple was something special. It was a beautiful, and slightly breezy evening in Cape May. We walked the trails and braved the wind, never hearing one complaint from these two. You can check out their session below!
