“I crave you in the most innocent form. I crave to say good night and give you forehead kisses and to say that I adore you when you feel at your worst. I crave you in ways where I just want to be next to you and nothing more or less.”
Hurricane Joaquin did her damage on Friday. But come Saturday the rain had passed, leaving a chilly and hazy Fall day. As with any wedding, months and months of planning creates expectations for exactly how the day should be. The cooler temperatures brought a last minute change of plans to moving the ceremony indoors. Even though the expectations and the reality did not match, the day was flawless. Jon and Audra braved the chilly temperatures for a lovely couple session. Foggy Philadelphia could be seen in the distance as Jon held Audra to keep her warm. It was so evident how the two simply belong with one another. They said “I do” in a beautiful indoor space with hanging chandeliers and a wall of windows.
While weddings are celebrations they are often laced with a mix of emotions. It is always so powerful to witness what a family has come through and how it has shaped the relationship.
This particular day the emotions were still raw from recent events. Audra celebrated her mother’s life with two small framed images of her attached to her bouquet. Jon’s father tragically passed just a few weeks ago and he held him near with a locket on him the entire day. A tribute to his Father, dancing to “Hey Jude” at the reception, left the guests teary eyed and moved by such an amazing man’s legacy.
The best man talked of the maturity Jon has reached and the confidence he has that the marriage will not only be good but it will be great. Built on a love for Jesus and a commitment to one another I can only agree that there are many amazing years ahead for the new Mr. and Mrs. Chin. Thank-you for allowing me to capture your story!
