“They slipped briskly into an intimacy from which they never recovered.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald
We met at Springton Manor. The breeze was just right and the humidity from the weeks before had finally dissipated. Joe and Rachel brought the whole gang; their two pups and Rachel’s mom and son. It was clear Rachel was nervous. It is often the couples that start the most nervous who soon after seem to ease into a session most fluidly. Rachel was no exception. When she is around Joe it is as if she finds strength. He is her safety, and that is one of the most perfect things to photograph.
Their relationship began around two years ago with a date at Fogo De Chao followed by bowling. The rain fell on the streets of Philadelphia and as if out of a movie, they had their first kiss in the rain. It wasn’t until about 6 months later that Rachel knew Joe was the one. She introduced him to her son, Alex. An intelligent 6-year-old little boy with a bright smile and sweet personality. Everything about that first meeting was perfect. Rachel recalls Alex telling Joe he loved him even before the evening was over. The deal was sealed.
In just under a year these two will merge their families by sharing their vows in front of friends and family at The Stoltzfus Homestead and Garden. It is sure to be a magical day!
