James & Lynda {Wedding by Haley}

We did James and Lynda’s engagement photos back in the middle of a very long winter at Longwood Gardens, and it was FREEZING. The type of cold where you forget what it was like to ever be warm. As we left I jokingly said next time we see each other we’ll be sweating. And little did we know how true that would be. July has been a hot one so far, but I have to commend the couple’s I’ve worked with for how well they deal with it. Not much complaining, just a lot of sweaty kisses and water breaks.

Lynda and James’ wedding day took place at several locations around Chesapeake City, all right on the water at the canal connecting the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware River. From the ceremony we had a perfect view of the St. Georges bridge crossing the water, and the boats, large and small, passing by. The big ones liked especially to blow their horns as they passed right in the middle of the ceremony, giving the guests a laugh.

After a sunny outdoor ceremony, all the guests hurried to get the shuttle and take shelter in the air conditioning at the Chesapeake Inn. The father and son duo of Billy Logue Entertainment provided live music during cocktail hour and dinner while guests enjoyed their delicious meals, then played fun music to dance to through the rest of the evening. Though it was a hot day, it was a fun one, and it was such a pleasure to be a part of Lynda and James’ day! Congrats you two!
