The forecast called for rain and a lot of it. Jenessa and I met for our morning meeting at a little coffee shop where the gloomy skies showed no sign of letting up. I then stopped by the salon where Jessica was getting ready and after a minute with the bride, I knew nothing could damper this day. The anticipation of what was to come could be felt simply by being in the same room as the bride. Today was the day she had dreamt about all her life and not only that but she was truly about to promise her life to the man that she had always prayed for.
Then somewhere along our forty minute drive to Manheim the rain subsided and a slight overcast took its place. Not a drop was to be seen. We were particularly excited for this day because not only do we love the bride and groom but they were getting married at a brand new Lancaster County wedding location, The Booking House. Within minutes of stepping onto the property, I felt my creativity meter being pushed to the brim. The location is literally oozing with class and charm.
The day was flawless from beginning to end and I’m pretty sure we didn’t stop smiling. Jess giggled with anticipation as she walked up behind Eric for their first look and nothing can describe the sparkle in his eye when he turned and finally saw his bride.
The ceremony was short and sweet yet held one of the most powerful wedding sermons I have every heard. Those in attendance were reminded of who God is and how a successful marriage is built on not only the love for one another but Jesus being the center.
You could feel the love for the couple in every aspect, from the friends that partied into the night, to the look of approval from all sets of parents or to the grandparents bestowing blessings upon the couple.
This is what love is suppose to look like. I am so extremely happy for Eric & Jess and can’t wait for the amazing things they will do together. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ziemer.
