Kalyn & Amanda {Wedding by Tessa}

“because
i could watch you
for a single
minute

and find
a thousand things
that I love about you”
Kalyn & Amanda {Wedding by Tessa}

Sometimes (most times) we walk away from a wedding rejuvenated and completely humbled at the chance to document a specific love story. Each day different; a unique combination of tastes and stories, bringing two families together. Seasons of two lives are represented through friends and family, and this new and exciting thing is born through it all. Kalyn & Amanda’s day was spectacular. Not only did the rain hold off at all of the right times, but their crew was filled with the most fun and supportive individuals.

June 2nd began with our eyes watching the skies. We drove the long lane towards Drumore Estate and our jaws dropped. This place is GORGEOUS. Tucked away in the rolling hills of Lancaster County, this 70 acre piece of land is accompanied with lush greenery, pristine gardens and a beautiful estate. Truly what fairytales are made of. So to say we were hoping the rain would hold off, is an understatement.

The girls were tucked away inside, enjoying spending the morning together. The tears first came as Amanda opened her gifts from her husband to be; a canvas with there first dance song quoted, among other items. Her mom helped her slip into her gown, adorning the dress with cherished family heirlooms and recreating a photo that her mom had taken with her grandmother on her wedding day. The sun continued to shine, so we took the girls outside to enjoy the gardens. The bride paired with the elegant estate, was breathtaking.

The gentleman hung with Victoria, trekking over the acres of green. An extremely fun group of guys. Kalyn, anxiously awaiting the time he would get to see his bride.

With rain possibly in the distance, a game time decision was made, the ceremony would remain outdoors in the gardens. We watched the radar closely with severe thunderstorms circling just miles away. BUT in magical fashion the rain never arrived during the ceremony. The bride walked arm in arm with her dad down the stretching lawn towards her groom. Kalyn’s reaction may have been the sweetest response to seeing his bride that we have ever seen. Even when hand in hand, he could barely glance at her without being overwhelmed with emotion. This boy adores his girl.

With a kiss the two became husband and wife, we scurried around the property squeezing out every inch of sunlight. As the bridal party was tucked away to begin intros, the clouds unleashed and the rain poured. Perfect timing.

The party continued with heartfelt speeches, toasts and plenty of dancing.

This was not only a night to remember, but a couple to rememeber! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Kling!
