“Your love
is the only love
that I ever want
to come home to”
-Gemma Troy
For Tom and Megan, their wedding day was a day to celebrate new beginnings, but also the strong commitment and love that they already share. Tom and Megan have been together for 6 years, so it was a special day to be surrounded by their closest family and friends as they devoted their lives to one another.
The morning started bright and early at the salon for the girls. I’m not sure if it was the early wake up call, or a well planned schedule, but the mood was relaxed as final touches were put on hair and makeup. Back at the Eden, I couldn’t help but notice the sentimentality of the day as Megan shared those special moments with her mom as she stepped into her wedding gown, not long after Megan helped her own daughter into a miniature version of a white dress for her role as flower girl. The groom and his groomsmen were just as easy-going as they dressed and toasted to the day.
A ceremony was held at the gorgeous Historic St. Mary’s Church in downtown Lancaster. Tom beamed as he caught the first glimpse of his bride walking down the aisle, arm in arm with her dad. After saying their I-Do’s we traipsed around the heart of downtown Lancaster, weaving through the Saturday morning market crowds, and taking in the scenery and the most perfect weather. At the Eden once again, guests watched as Megan and Tom shared their first dance as husband and wife, followed by special anniversary and dollar dances to get the party started. The afternoon continued as everyone relaxed and caught up with family and friends while the kids took over the dance floor.
What a lovely day this was and Jenessa and I were so honored to be a part of the celebration, all our love as the newlyweds step into this new chapter together!
