Ryan & Alexis {Wedding by Tessa}

June 15th is a date we were looking forward to for awhile. Ryan & Alexis are good friends of a favorite past TMI couple, and just with that, we knew their day would be magical.

For the first time in 7 weekends, the weather was calling for SUNSHINE with no chance of rain. Puffy, white clouds filled the blue skies, providing the perfect amount of periodic shade. The groom and his guys got ready at the couple’s home. Their roof deck had the most epic overlook of the skyline as the group cheers to the day. The girls got ready nearby at the Hilton on Columbus Boulevard. The views were stunning. The wall of windows overlooked the Delaware River with the stretching Benjamin Franklin bridge in the distance. But the Bride was not to be outdone by the view. With the help of her mom, Alexis slipped into her Maggie Sottero gown. What a gorgeous bride she was. We all knew her groom-to-be would simply melt at the site of her.

The couple’s chosen venue was something straight out of a Great Gatsby movie. Glen Foerd is a hidden gem in Philadelphia. This historic waterfront venue is paired with a mansion dated back to the 1850’s, rose gardens and lush greens. Every inch of it calls to be photographed, making our photo-lovin’ hearts extremely happy. Even with the higher temperatures of the day, it continued to remain comfortable with the slight breeze that the water brought.

Ryan turned to see his bride during their first look and immediately tears filled his eyes. His sweet response to her told so much about their relationship. We then joined with their friends as we explored the property, taking tons of images along the way.

The ceremony was set-up outdoors on the lawn. Simple white chairs quickly filled with friends and family, who came anxiously awaiting to witness the promises to be made.

Cocktail hour followed, with delicious hors d’oeuvre as guests mingled and enjoyed the property views. As expected, the reception was a blast from start to finish. With sweet and silly speeches, sentimental dances and a party celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Aubertin.

What a FUN day it was. Thank-you for allowing Haley and I to be a part of it!
