Jackie and Joe got married on the nicest early fall Friday. We’ve shot at the Homestead countless times, but there’s just something that feels a little different about it when the seasons change from summer to fall. It was almost chilly as the girls arrived in their silk PJ sets to get ready for the day. After popping some champagne, Jackie’s Maid of Honor helped her into her dress as the rest of the girls watched with excitement. Jackie shared a special first look and few moments with her dad as the guys got ready over in the lounge. Adding a few touches of Philadelphia 76ers pride to their outfits, because Joe is the Sixers number one fan.
Guests began to arrive and found their seats on the benches lined up in the garden as the bridal party waited behind the scenes. Jackie was the final one to walk down the aisle and everyone could see the pure joy on Joe’s face as he watched his bride. Danielle, sister of the groom, officiated the wedding, and there were special readings by members of the bridal party. As soon as the newlyweds were announced and headed back down the aisle, the crowd was ready to party.
The newlyweds were announced once again before their guests into the Grand Barn for the reception. Jackie and Joe shared their first dance, followed by Joe and his mom, and Jackie and her dad. But before the party could really get started, the bride and groom brought out a surprise birthday cake for Joe’s mom, who graciously shared her birthday with the couple’s big day.
To say we had a dancing crowd on our hands in an understatement. I could tell that this was going to be a fun group, and the dance floor was full from the first song to the last. We had a blast celebrating with this crew, congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Fricker!
