Jeff & Gina {Esession by Tessa}

“I am catastrophically in love with you.”
– Cassandra ClareJeff & Gina {Esession by Tessa}

Jeff + Gina.

They met in college but didn’t go on their first date until 3 years after undergrad. It was October 2014 and they planned to meet for dinner and drinks. They both unintentionally ordered very greasy pulled pork sandwiches and embraced the awkwardness of eating messy meals on the first date. After dinner, they drove across town to meet up with several friends, enjoying a DJ set and dancing the night away.

Even before the date ended, they had their second date on the books, a walk down the Wissahickon trails. Two days later they met again, Jeff (being the sweetheart he is) packed light snacks for a picnic. An onlooker captured a photo of them and shared the memory, a photo they will forever cherish.

Just shy of three years after that first date, they were engaged and have their wedding planned for May of next year.

I met the two at Longwood Garden’s a couple of weeks back. Gina had been a bridesmaids in a past TMI wedding, but this evening I got to know both of them better. The forecast called for rain…lots of it. But with the impending Winter we decided to go for it. Within a few minutes of arriving, the skies opened up and we hurried indoors of the Longwood Arboretum. And let me tell you…it was gorgeous. The rainy forecast chased away the crowds and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

It’s safe to say I am obsessed with these two. They are kind and have this depth about them, not to mention when the camera comes out they are model material. We galavanted around the property, taking in the beauty at each corner.

And then the magic happened…

The rain started to pass, and in its absence the skies lit up with orange and pink. Soon after, a glowing rainbow painted the sky. It was breathtaking.

I can think of no two more deserving of this beautiful evening.
