Dennis & Ashley {Wedding by Tessa}

Romance is the glamour which turns the dust of everyday life into a golden haze.

It may sound cheesy, but one of my favorite thing about my job is when clients become friends. Dennis and Ashley go to Epic church, the church I also attend. But it wasn’t until their engagement session that I got the pleasure of hanging with these two. Instantly, we became friends. But I think that may be the case with most people Dennis and Ashley meet. They are dynamic together and both have such caring hearts. Not only do the adore one another, but they love their circle well. So I knew their wedding day would be a special one.

The ceremony and reception took place at Durham Hill farms, a new venue in Bucks county that is the perfect blend of rustic and elegant. Victoria and I first met up with the girls. There was such an air of excitement. The last of the hair and makeup was completed and it was time to get this bride in her dress. Her mom and cousin helped to slip her into the La Belle Mariee gown, and let me tell you, she was GORGEOUS. Her girls shared a group first look and every jaw dropped to the ground. We knew Dennis would be blown away.

Ashley first shared a look with her father, who beamed with pride as his only daughter stood before him in white. It’s every father’s dream for his daughter to grow up and choose a man that is worthy of her. Dennis was that dream coming to fruition.

Nearby outdoors, Dennis waited to see his bride. He turned and beamed from ear to ear, and maybe even teared up. And with that, the day was well under way. We met up with the rest of their crew and took advantage of every part of this gorgeous property.

The ceremony was set outdoors, with long wooden benches and a beautiful arbored adorned with flowers. Friends and family gathered to witness these two pledge their forevers. The ceremony was sweet, heartfelt and sentimental. Rings were exchanged, vows were declared and the new Mr. & Mrs. Hibbs were announced.

Before the party began, we were able to steal the couple away for what was quite possibly the most magical golden hour we have ever been a part of. This farm also comes with a horse pasture and this bride and groom were all about exploring it. The sometimes timid horses, embraced these guests and came right up to Dennis and Ashley. They danced amongst the horses with the sun setting in the distance. MAGIC.

The celebration continued in the barn, where guests gathered for first dances, and a particularly epic one (pun intended – church joke) by this bride and her dad. Surprising the groom and guests with a fully choreographed dance to multiple upbeat numbers. Speeches were given and delicious BBQ served. All that was left was to dance the night away…

What a perfect day. Thank-you for choosing us to document it! It was an honor.
