“We are most alive when we are in love.” -John UpdikeIf I had to choose one single word to describe this day, it would be somewhere along the lines of alive, electric, buzzing, or enlivened. Dan & Brooke have an incredible amount of people who love them, and who all came to their wedding ready to celebrate!
It was yet another perfect Saturday in August, with low humidity, a cool evening breeze, and a sunset to die for. Between the weather, the grand and beautiful Calvary church, the picturesque Harvest View Barn at Hershey Farm, the vibrant bridal party, and a couple riddled with all of the raw emotions that a wedding day brings- we were in heaven.
Dan’s tears during the vows to his bride gave the entire room full of people a very open window into the depths of the emotional ties between these two who were introduced by mutual friends and bonded at a New Years Eve party over the discussion of cool handshakes. However, through the emotions, the pair remained true to their very easy going, funny, and playful nature by displaying the handshake in question in the middle of their ceremony.
And that playful fun continued for the rest of the evening. A party bus took the bridal party to the awaiting reception and, after 30 minutes of laughter, dancing, and pure FUN, there was not a doubt in our minds that there was about to be a killer night of celebrating ahead of us! I mean, wherever there is a cake made out of Achenbach’s Long Johns…there is a happy crowd. There was an overwhelming display of love and support for the new Mr. & Mrs. Fisher and Tessa and I were honored to take part in the celebration! Congratulations, Dan & Brooke!
