“The meeting
of two personalities
is like the contact
of two chemical substances;
if there is any reaction,
both are transformed.”
– Carl Jung
Oh how I loved this day. Don’t get me wrong, big elaborate weddings with all the details, guests and bling….are my jam. But there is something so special and intimate about stripping it down to the good stuff.
It was a brisk yet beautiful day at City Hall in Philadelphia. There is something about this structure that NEVER gets old. The historic building juxtaposed against the modern skyscrapers is a beautiful combination. Even with all of the history in Philadelphia, not many places beat the timeless and classy feel of this location.
Cue Clint and Steph. The two had wed abroad months prior and were looking to make it official in the states. Stephanie showed up in beautiful red dress paired with the most classy ‘do. She asked for a Marilyn Monroe inspired look and she nailed it on the head. Her dashing groom was looking sharp in his black tux. Clint had surprised his bride by selecting and purchasing a beautiful bouquet to compliment her look.
We chatted and walked around City Hall, snapping photos as we went. These two easily fell into place when in the presence of one another…a photographers DREAM. We met up with their family as we began to head indoors. The sun was just setting behind the buildings, casting the most gorgeous light on the interior steps of the hall. In Clint and Steph fashion, even though we were on a timeline, they were more than up for grabbing a few more shots…and holy magic.
Indoors we were directed to a room where other brides and groom were awaiting their turn to “do the damn thing”. It was something out of a movie. Once the names were called we walked into another room, cheerfully greeted by the judge. Even with it being towards the end of the day, everyone involved was pleasant and genuinely excited for this couple. But NOTHING could beat the excitement written all over Clint and Stephanie’s face. From start to finish they immersed themselves in every moment. I loved every second of this day. Thanks for having me!
