Tucked away in the woods of Reinholds, PA is Rocky Top Lodge. A rustic venue, complete with lush gardens and a wrap around porch that is to die for. This spot couldn’t have matched the couple more. The day was casual and laid back, with sweet and simple details that added the perfect mix to the wooded surroundings.
Chelsea’s mom zipped her daughter into her beautiful princess gown, gifting her an engraved necklace. The fitting touch to the mesh high neck of the dress. The girls all wore string sandals paired with blush dresses and bouquets of white and pink roses with pops of yellow in the zinnias.
The groomsmen below buttoned up their shirts, tied their shoe laces and ventured out to the woods. The groom gifted each groomsmen an axe, personalized with their name.
The clouds began to loom as the guests congregated towards the ceremony seating. Andrew turned to see his bride, breathtaking as the slight breeze caught the bottom of her dress. Sweet vows were exchanged as the heavens opened up with a fierce rain. The couple was shaded with an umbrella as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
The rains poured, but the party continued. Under the pavilion was drinks and appetizers as friends and family caught up and new friendships were formed. The couple and bridal party were champs, embracing the rain from start to finish. They were rewarded with a warm sun, a little over an hour after the skies had outpoured. We hopped back on schedule as we stole the couple away for their session, returning to that same wrap around porch, and continued on to dancing in the woods. The two shared little kisses with a lush backdrop of greenery and flowers. Shortly after they returned to their party, welcomed with such sweet speeches from the Maid of Honor and Best Man.
The night continued with a cake smash from both the bride to groom and vice versa. An intense flower toss and garter throw was followed by the most epic garter placement. This crew knows how to party!
The whole day was a testament to the sweet love shared between these two. Nothing could come between the importance and symbolism of this day. Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Hagy. We were so honored to be a part of your celebration!
