Rob & Katrina {Engagement Party}

One of my favorite things about my job is being able to hear the stories about a couple and then getting to see that story continue to unfold. This past January, as winter storm Jonas was brewing, I first met Katrina via Skype. I knew right away that she was a sweetheart and so quickly saw how much she adored her soon to be fiance. At the time, Katrina was not yet engaged and was anticipating a proposal. Rob did an excellent job at surprising her during a trip to Colorado. Atop a picturesque mountain, Katrina said yes.

It has been a crazy year for both Rob and Katrina, with wedding planning added to the mix, it is so evident that the two lean into one another for strength even when life gets crazy. Last week, I had the pleasure of getting a mini tour of their story.

We met in Collegeville, the town where Rob grew up. Nestled along main street is a quaint greenhouse that houses the most beautiful combination of greens and instantly transported us to somewhere warm and tropical. We grabbed a few photos amongst the blooms and were on our way. Following, we made a pit stop at Rob’s childhood home, which now the two call home.

By far my favorite part of the evening was the party at a local dive bar called, The Trappe. The same spot that Rob and Katrina shared their first date. Now years later, they shared this same space with friends and family as they celebrated their engagement.

It is so evident how loved and supported these two are, from the friends traveling to attend to the heartfelt toast from Rob’s brother that left this bride-to-be with teary eyes.

Rob and Katrina will wed this coming September at St Rita’s Church in Philadelphia with the reception following at the Crystal Tea Room. I already know it will be a day to remember!
