Ian & Hannah {Engaged}

“To love is nothing. To be loved is something. But to love and be loved, that’s everything.” — T. TolisIan + Hannah, the perfect combo. The internet wins again with these two starting off by meeting on the world wide web. Ian was in the Army and it was Memorial Day, so naturally, Hannah needed to “like” this dapper man. What began as a joke is now continuing with a marriage. Life is pretty great like that.

I had the pleasure of attending Tyler School of Art with Hannah as we both studied photography. Now both in our careers, I am ecstatic (and honored) to be photographing her love story. We met on a beautiful evening at one of my favorite spots in the city, Head House Square, directly in front of the spot they had their first date, The Twisted Tail.

It took about ten seconds in front of the camera to know I was just gifted with another insanely amazing couple. These two interact with such ease and it is so evident that Ian adores his girl. These two = Power Couple.

Hannah is a badass through and through. I LOVE how she describes her style: executive punk. Trashy to classy in under 60 seconds. Art school grunge mixed with classic DC chic and throw in a healthy bit of hippie. Her other half, Ian, is the perfect balance. Simple and to the point, sometimes absurd but enjoys getting classy when it’s called for. Very forward in appearance and personality.

Our night continued with meeting up with another mutual art school friend, who allowed us to climb up onto his roof for what may be the best view of pretty Philadelphia I have yet to see. Continuing with the bad ass theme, Ian popped some champagne with a massive kitchen knife and the two kissed as the sun set.

Their wedding is sure to be nothing short of amazing. Most likely out of the ordinary, in the absolute best way. Is it Sept 1, 2018 yet?
