Bob & Ariane {Wedding}

“You look good wearing my future.”
Some Kind of Wonderful

043-storyboard

The 2018 wedding season started back up in EPIC proportions, and we could not think of a better couple to kick off the year with.

We met this bride and groom at the Marriott in Collegeville, where the atmosphere with both groups was extremely relaxed. The anticipation of the day ahead hung in the air. The girls slipped into their gorgeous floor length gowns and the boys took in that days playoff football game as they straightened their ties and buttoned their suit jackets.

Bob & Ariane chose to do a first look, but before they did, they exchanged heartfelt letters. Words that brought tears to this bride and a beaming smile to the dapper groom.

Bob turned to see his bride for the first time, his excitement and adoration written all over his face.

A quick bus ride to The Foundry and we were on to photos! Let me tell you, Winter has not been kind in Pennsylvania this year. With days where the temperature dips below zero and what feels like a weekly snow storm. This particular afternoon was warmed slightly by the sun and paired with striking blue skies. This crew were CHAMPS for braving the teen weather conditions (with plenty of warm up breaks indoors).

The day was relaxed and unhurried from start to finish. Each moment felt like it was being embraced without an event passing by where the significance was not noted.

Bob and Ariane’s pastor from Epic Church in Philadelphia kept the ceremony sweet and playful while also stating the significance of the powerful union that was being commemorated on that date. Bob & Ariane hold their faith, family and friends as the utmost important things in their life and the ceremony was such a testament to that.

This may be the first wedding of the TMI year, but I will be anxious to see if any entrance this year tops this one. Bob, a huge Trust the Process believer, entered with his bride to the tune of The 76ers Theme Song, tossing shirts and waving a foam finger. AMAZING.

The celebration continued with sentimental speeches, exquisite dining and a full dance floor all night.

We could not have been more honored to be able to document this love story.

Hope you two are enjoying the WARM temperatures in Costa Rica! We’re all a little jealous here in chilly Philadelphia.

John & Lindsay {Esession by Haley}

“I am yours.
I am yours as the stars belong to the sky
and I am yours as the rivers belong to the sea.
I am yours as your tears belong to your eyes
and I am yours as your lungs belong to the pattern in which you breathe.”
- Christopher Poindexter

016-storyboardWhat began as an innocent friendship between coworkers soon turned into something much more. John and Lindsay met at work and were first friends before they decided to date. But since they were still working at the same company, their relationship had to be kept secret for the first few months. Once they both moved on to different, separate jobs, they were able to go public with their relationship and date without the worry of anyone spotting them. A few of their favorite memories include traveling to some of their favorites places together. In the past year they have taken trips to Cape May and to NYC to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, something that had always been a dream of Lindsay’s. They have the personalities to perfectly balance each other. Lindsay is outgoing and sweet, John is steady and calm and always knows the right thing to say when Lindsay needs it.

Despite being one of the coldest and windiest days of the winter, John and Lindsay’s positive attitudes didn’t waiver and they were such champs as we walked the grounds of Longwood Gardens – a special location to them as Lindsay’s grandfather works there and often shows them the best, hidden locations around the gardens. Luckily, our shoot happened on the last day of Longwood’s Christmas so we got to take advantage of all the beautiful indoor and outdoor decor, and my favorite, the colored lights that light up every tree after the sun sets.

Victoria and I can’t wait for Lindsay and John’s winter wedding just over a year away in Philadelphia! It is sure to be a beautiful day at the Downtown Club, but we will all be crossing our fingers for slightly warmer weather!

2017 Bloopers & BTS

2017 was a good one.

Shot some stuff, met some pretty amazing couples, worked with the best vendors around and learned a whole lot along the way. We could not be more grateful for each and every love story we got to document. Here’s a little glimpse of what wedding photography is REALLY like.

Enjoy!

Chris & Brandi {Wedding}

“May these vows and this marriage be blessed.
May it be sweet milk,
this marriage, like wine and halvah.
May this marriage offer fruit and shade
like the date palm.
May this marriage be full of laughter,
our every day a day in paradise.
May this marriage be a sign of compassion,
a seal of happiness here and hereafter.
May this marriage have a fair face and a good name,
an omen as welcomes the moon in a clear blue sky.
I am out of words to describe
how spirit mingles in this marriage.”

Anthony & Melissa {Wedding}

“You’re my waking thought,
my sweet dream,
and everything in between.”
- perry poetry
062-storyboardOur very LAST wedding of 2017, and I can truly think of no better couple to end the year with. I had been looking forward to this day for months and months. Anthony & Melissa are simply fun to be around. Their love is uncomplicated and refreshing. They both have the biggest hearts and such a sweet adoration for one another.

Victoria and I traveled to NJ on the most PERFECT Winter day. While the calendar showed December 2nd, the weather didn’t get the memo. The skies were blue and the sun came out to play, warming temperatures above 50 degrees. The girls were well underway with prep when we arrived; a delicious breakfast spread laid out, the champagne poured and the final touches of hair and makeup were being placed.

Natural light drenched this couple’s home, paired with an insanely beautiful bride. The day was a photographers dream from the beginning.

I had photographed one of the bridesmaid’s weddings a couple of years back and I knew some of the same girls would be in the party, so I knew it would be a good time. But truly, these bridesmaids are #GOALS. They continually showered their dear friend with love throughout the day and were simply a blast to be around. The gentleman didn’t disappoint either. Anthony and Melissa keep good company.

Anthony was all smiles as he turned to see his stunning bride. They danced on the bridge, kissed by the evergreens and cuddled to stay warm. Theirs is the easiest love to capture on camera.

A game day decision was made when the weather was showing a seasonably warm winter evening and the couple decided to share their vows outdoors. The sun set and the ceremony details were placed. The bride and groom were lit by candlelight, exchanging their vows under an arbor of greens.

Then the party awaited…and boy, does The Merion know how to throw one. The couple entered to music from DJ Bill, sparklers and roses were paraded in like a real life version of Beauty and the Beast’s, Be Our Guest. Exquisite dining took place and the dance floor was filled from start to finish. The night ended with a champagne pour, opening up a room filled to the brim with desserts. This day = MAGICAL.

Anthony and Melissa, THANK-YOU for having us be a part of the celebration. I couldn’t be more grateful to all of our 2017 couple but I am particularly thankful to have ended the year with such an amazing day.

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Cirigliano!
