“Because I could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand things that I love about you.”
My very favorite love stories begin with the phrase, “I saw her from across the room and I said to myself, I’m going to marry that girl.” Yes, this is one of those! Vasiliy and Jenny met in the workplace, and he had eyes only for her.
On May 26, 2017, they celebrated their decision to join their lives together forever at the beautiful Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens. Jenny spent the morning tucked away in the bridal suite, donning the most gorgeous, intricately beaded gown and frosted with rich sapphire jewels. Amidst the flurry of preparation, she took a few minutes to spend with her father in one of the dearest father first looks I’ve ever witness. Tears for everyone. There is something so sweet about the man who loved her first seeing his baby in a wedding gown on her big day.
When at last the time came for the two to finally lock eyes, the Tobacco Barn was filled with family and friends who had traveled from all over to take in these precious moments with them. A string quartet played and Jenny took her walk down the aisle. A heartfelt sentiment from Jenny’s pastor elicited more tears. The pair exchanged their vows and a kiss and exited as husband and wife!
The Grand Barn hosted a reception splashed with color, great food, wonderful fellowship and a lot of love. Donuts for dessert and a POUR OVER coffee bar managed by the bride’s cousin were definitely a highlight for everyone! As the evening continued, the campfire roared outside and dancing livened up the barn, and then a beautiful tunnel of sparklers bid farewell to the Mr. & Mrs. as they dashed away into the night! What a beautiful way to kick of the Homestead season. Congrats Vasiliy and Jenny! We wish you all the best!
