Ryan & Kelly {Wedding}

“We can always look back at what we did
All these memories of you and me baby
But right now it’s you and me forever girl
And you know we could do better than anything that we did
You know that you and me, we could do anything”
– You and Me | Dave Matthews 001-storyboardI met Ryan and Kelly while photography a good friend’s wedding last summer. Once they inquired about their wedding date, and we chatted a bit about their day, I had a great feeling about this couple.

Ryan and Kelly met at Marywood University, and you better believe their college squad showed up to celebrate the marriage of these two. This couple is so easy-going and fun. This was apparent right off the bat by the laid back demeanor of both the bride and groom.

June has not been very nice to those in the wedding industry. Lots of rainy weekends which can often times make our jobs a bit more difficult. But it is couples like Ryan and Kelly that make the work so very worth it. While the rain came and went all day, nothing could deter form the true meaning behind the day. Pockets of sunshine peeked through as this flexible bride and groom allowed us to pull them in and out of their party.

When asked what the three most important things to this couple are, they said family, faith and community. And that could not have been more evident. The two said their I Do’s in a beautiful Catholic Church, bathed in natural light and surrounded by supporting friends and family. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Kelly slipped away before the ceremony to pray to the Blessed Mother Mary in a courtyard nearby. Her father later expressed in his speech that Kelly has this deep faith, and even with little words about it, her actions throughout the afternoon so clearly pointed towards that fact.

The party continued at Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club in Fort Washington, where guests were gifted not just one, but two beautiful rainbows. The speeches were incredible, sentimental yet fun, with one of the most tear jerking father speeches we have yet to hear.

The dancing continued late into the night as the new Mr. & Mrs. Duggan celebrated their marriage. Haley and I were extremely honored to be a part of your day! We hope you enjoy a little visual sneak of the beauty that was June 17, 2017.
