One of the BEST parts of our job, is getting to spend a whole day with a couple and feeling like we’re just hanging with our best friends. Dan & Jackie’s day couldn’t have been more chill or more fun. These two are selfless through and through. They care so deeply for their friends and family and put others above themselves. Even with their vendors, we started the day with gifts from the bride and groom; a lens coffee mug for us and baby clothes for the videographer, who had just welcomed a little one into the world a few weeks prior. Pouring out love to others, it is just the kind of people Dan and Jackie are.
Following with the trend of the past several weeks, the weather felt more like Fall then the end of summer. It was if you could smell the changing season in the air (although a few weeks early – we will take it). The bride stepped into her gown tucked away in one of the many classy rooms at The Cork Factory, marked by its exposed brick and chic decor.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen portraits proved that we had an entertaining group on our hands. In “boys will be boys” fashion, these gentleman posed in their best football formation and grabbed a hotel cart for a quick ride.
The couple comes from Philadelphia and were dying for a bit of that Lancaster County Country magic in some of their photos. After a short ride to a nearby park, we took advantage of the lush greens and budding flowers, ending with a classic Lancaster County covered bridge. All the good things were happening.
Back at the venue, Dan and Jackie said their I Do’s under the most beautiful floral hanging ladder. With a sweeping kiss the deed was done and the new Mr. & Mrs. McCarty were introduced to their excited friends and family.
The rest of the evening was the most perfect celebration; sentimental speeches, sweet dances and of course a whole lot of getting down on the dance floor. The day was wonderful from start to finish.
