Music and location are two very bonding things. In this particular case, it was Phish and Philadelphia.
Alex and Jes are SERIOUS Phish fans. After chatting with them, (and then later looking up Phish), it is a pretty special thing that this connection brought them together. While at a Phish concert in Saratoga Springs, NY the two realized they were both from the Philly area. A week later, they planned to drive to another show together. And yet again, it was another Phish show (I told you they were serious fans), they met up once more.
Music brought them together, location made it easy and their obvious connection sealed the deal.
On a very seasonably warm November evening, we met and ventured back to what possibly is my favorite location of all time. I really need to find better adjectives than cool, amazing and magical. Not only was the location just that, but so are Alex and Jes. They are simply fun to be around and are naturals in front of the camera.
We cannot wait to celebrate with them in just over a year at the beautiful Tendenza. Thank-you both for showing me the best spot in Philadelphia and for putting up with my raspy (barely existent) voice! You’re champs and we are honored to be photographing your love story.
