Scott & Danielle {Wedding by Tessa}

“You’re my favorite place to go
when my mind searches for peace.”Scott & Danielle {Wedding by Tessa}

Danielle & Scott were married at the beautiful Historic Shady Lane on a sunny early Fall Friday. With a passing storm the evening before, the morning brought plenty of blue skies and sunshine beams. The perfect compliment to the anticipation and excitement for the day ahead.

Haley and I traveled from Philadelphia. Both growing up in the country, there is something peaceful about watching the scenery change from city-scape to rolling hills. While we love the city, there is so much beauty in the greenery and blooming flowers, especially after a summer filled with rain. We began our day in one of the most beautiful bridal suites where Danielle and her girls (and a last minute haircut for a groomsmen) gathered to prep.

Danielle was a beauty as she placed the last minutes touches of dangling earrings to pair with her beaded gown, and her train was one for the books. She was then ready to meet her groom. She gracefully walked on a winding path, with a historic staircase leading to her husband-to-be. Scott turned to see his bride, beaming from ear to ear.

The rest of the early afternoon was spent with the couple galavanting on the property with their closest friends and family in the bridal party. This type-a bride was truly able to relax and enjoy every moment even with some hiccups and change-of-plans that any wedding day can bring. It was true bliss from start to finish.

After the sweet ceremony, the tented reception was ready to embrace the party. Stretching tables of greens and lanterns invited guests in. Danielle and Scott enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife, followed by dances with their parents and speeches by the best man and maid of honor. We were even able to steal the couple away for a magical, twinkly light portrait session.

The night ended with donuts and ice cream and plenty of dancing. What a celebration it was! Haley and I were honored to be a part of it. CONGRATS to the new Mr. & Mrs. Haddaway
