“Love is like a friendship caught on fire.”
– Jeremy TaylorI knew this would be a day to remember from the first moment Andrew and Taylor booked, to say I was excited for the celebration in Philadelphia is an understatement.
Andrew & Taylor have quite a history, reaching back all the way to 8th grade. So this wedding was highly anticipated and long awaited for by all of those in attendance. When there is that many years of a love story being formed, it takes the depth of a relationship to a whole other level. There is something so special about two people who have been through almost every season together. From awkward middle school dances to the drama and changes highschool brings, to college days where they attended the best school around (you already know, T for Temple U) and continuing with their career choices. Through it all, they had each other, and that’s just pretty cool.
The day was a party from start to finish. From the amazing bridal party to the epic dancing that came at the reception. Philadelphia was a major theme; a city where the couple went to college, work and continue to live in. The rain held off and the sun decided to shine as we ventured in a party bus to the most Philly scene of all, the PMA (aka the Rocky steps).
Back on City Avenue, the ceremony took place in front of 200 friends and family. The Hilton was decked out for the continued celebration, with high ceilings and regal crystal chandeliers. The couple was welcomed into their reception with loud cheers as they stepped out onto the balcony, waving and beaming from ear to ear.
Sweet dances took place between mother and son and father and daughter and a heartfelt speech was given by the bride’s father, expressing that this love was simply fate and the sentimentality of giving away his daughter just a stone-throw away from the hospital in which she was born.
This day could not have been more fun. What a celebration of a true love! We were honored to be there. Thanks for inviting us to the party!
