Mike & Linds {Wedding by Haley}

“I always wanted you.
Even when I didn’t know what I wanted.
Even before I knew you.
It was you.
You were the chapter
that I didn’t know the words to,
but always knew it existed.
And when I finally found it
and began to read,
I knew I was home.”

Mike & Linds {Wedding by Haley}

Mike and Lindsay’s wedding has been anticipated around TMI for a while now. It involved three of us, but not all as photographers. Lindsay is a college friend of Tessa’s, so while Victoria and I held the reigns on the photo end, Tessa got to relax and be on the other side of the camera for a change as a bridesmaid.

From the moment we walked in and met the girls all in their monogrammed onesies, we knew it was going to be a fun day. Everyone was so relaxed and easy going, and just excited for the happy couple to get married that any trivialities didn’t seem to matter. The bridesmaids and bridesmen relaxed and finished with hair and makeup. Lindsay’s mom zipped her into the beautiful trumpet-style dress, adorned with just the right amount of bling, and her sisters helped with the finishing touches. Meanwhile, Mike opened gifts from his soon to be wife, and shared a few special moments with his son, Zack, who was designated “ring security” for the day. Zack couldn’t wait to tell anyone who would listen about his official badge and briefcase, and a pocket watch given to him by his dad that enclosed a photo of the new official family of three.

A special first look let Lindsay, Mike, and Zack spend a few quiet moments together before taking on the rest of the busy day. Though it was chilly, the bridal party were all absolute champs as they braved the weather. Thankfully, Normandy Farms has taken advantage of the area they have and created so many perfect photo backgrounds in a small area.

When it was time for the ceremony, nearly 300 guests filled the room to celebrate with the newlyweds. Mike held back tears as his bride walked down the aisle arm in arm with her mom and dad. The room erupted with cheers as Mike and Lindsay were pronounce husband and wife and walked down the aisle into their new lives.

As the guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks, the ballroom was turned into a reception room drenched in warm light and pink roses. After the bridal party, the newlyweds were announced to greet their guests for the first time ad Mr. and Mrs. Yetter. The danced their first dance to their favorite song, Can’t Help Falling in Love, followed by heartfelt toasts and dances with their parents. Mike and Lindsay cut the most intricately decorated cake topped with the most fitting cake topper. Music from Holiday Sounds started the party and kept the dance floor full until the very last song. Towards the end of the night, a spread of donuts was brought out, very fitting for two cops getting married!

Mike and Lindsay’s wedding was the perfect one to officially start my season with TMI. We wish you all the best!
