“Meeting you was like listening to a song for the first time and knowing it would be my favorite.”
Justin and Cecilia’s wedding day is one of those that I have been looking forward to for a while – great couple, interesting new venue, good weather, what more could one want?
The ceremony and reception took place at the Corradetti Glass blowing studio in Baltimore – and it was just as cool as it sounds. Glass blowing studio by day, event venue by night. Pieces handmade by the artist decorated the studio and added some sparkle to the industrial feeling building, leaving not much need for extra decor. The flowers placed in glass bottles on all the tables, intertwined with fairy lights, complemented the artwork in the space.
After their first look, Justin and Cecilia chose to share their vows with one another and exchange gifts, both coincidentally choosing something meaningful and wearable. Later they met up with their bridal party, along with their two dogs who completely stole the show for the time being.
As guests arrived and sat in the rows, Cecilia spent the last few minutes with her dad before walking down the aisle. Justin beamed as his bride approached. After reading their vows once again, they sealed their marriage with rings and a kiss. As the descended back down the aisle guests tossed pom-poms around them, making one of the most fun send off ideas I’ve seen.
Dinner was served buffet style, and as the weather cooled in the evening guests took advantage of the indoor/outdoor space. The dance floor opened with a dollar dance which had just about every person there waiting in line to dance with the bride and groom. As the night went on Justin and Cecilia celebrated with their family and friends, only taking dance breaks to eat the cookies and ice cream that were served for dessert.
