Cecilia and Justin are each other’s perfect compliment. They are both calm and understanding but have the ability to be silly, have fun, and laugh with each other. Their shoot took me to Rocks State Park in Maryland where the leaves had just turned to the perfect shades of red and orange, and the overlook we made our way to at the end of the session gave the perfect panoramic view of the beautiful foliage.
The Spanish soccer jerseys made an appearance because Spain plays an important part in their relationship. Justin and Cecilia met in Spanish class their freshman year at college, which led to the most college date which I’m sure many can relate to – getting pizza on a random week night on campus and talking for hours after, only to be cut short when they realized class started at 8am the next day. But their love for each other, and Spanish, flourished from there. Cecilia went on to become a high school Spanish teacher, and one of their most treasured memories is their trip to Barcelona, where Justin proposed in the Barcelona soccer stadium!
I had the best time getting to know these two a little better, and I have to say their venue is one that I am most excited to work in next year – it is a working glass blowing studio, and I can only imagine the fantastic and unique photos we will create together. So be sure to look out for that next June!
