“I am yours.
I am yours as the stars belong to the sky
and I am yours as the rivers belong to the sea.
I am yours as your tears belong to your eyes
and I am yours as your lungs belong to the pattern in which you breathe.”
- Christopher Poindexter
What began as an innocent friendship between coworkers soon turned into something much more. John and Lindsay met at work and were first friends before they decided to date. But since they were still working at the same company, their relationship had to be kept secret for the first few months. Once they both moved on to different, separate jobs, they were able to go public with their relationship and date without the worry of anyone spotting them. A few of their favorite memories include traveling to some of their favorites places together. In the past year they have taken trips to Cape May and to NYC to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, something that had always been a dream of Lindsay’s. They have the personalities to perfectly balance each other. Lindsay is outgoing and sweet, John is steady and calm and always knows the right thing to say when Lindsay needs it.
Despite being one of the coldest and windiest days of the winter, John and Lindsay’s positive attitudes didn’t waiver and they were such champs as we walked the grounds of Longwood Gardens – a special location to them as Lindsay’s grandfather works there and often shows them the best, hidden locations around the gardens. Luckily, our shoot happened on the last day of Longwood’s Christmas so we got to take advantage of all the beautiful indoor and outdoor decor, and my favorite, the colored lights that light up every tree after the sun sets.
Victoria and I can’t wait for Lindsay and John’s winter wedding just over a year away in Philadelphia! It is sure to be a beautiful day at the Downtown Club, but we will all be crossing our fingers for slightly warmer weather!
