the sun, the stars, the sky, never tasted so good.”

Jess & Jeff {Wedding by Haley}

On a sunny Friday morning, a few stories above Old City in Philadelphia, a bride and groom prepped for their much anticipated wedding. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Jess and Jeff were both content but clearly excited as they ate brunch, drank champagne, and relaxed with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Knowing this couple, we knew the day would run high with emotions for the couple as well as everyone in attendance. Jeff and Jess both attend Epic Church where 3/4 of the TMI team also attend, and they have become dear friends of ours. We’ve had the pleasure of following along with their love story for the past year or two, so we were looking forward to this wedding almost as much as they were.

After popping some champagne and reminiscing with her three bridesmaids, Jess was greeted by her beloved dog, Bayley, as well as her parents’ dog. Bayley made himself comfortable right next to Jess as she read a letter from her groom. Hotel Monaco’s eclectic decor provided the perfect backdrop for Jess to step into her dress, helped by her mom. The beautiful lace dress was complimented by a vintage veil that has been worn and passed down by several generations in the bride’s family. A few rooms away, Jeff and the boys dressed in black suits and bowties that perfectly fit Jeff’s classic and sleek style. Jess was nothing but smiles as she stood behind her soon-to-be husband, and Jeff immediately broke into happy tears when he turned around to see his first look of his bride. We took full advantage of the sun on what was forecasted to be a rainy day, using all the beautiful historic sights within a block of Hotel Monaco.

Back at the hotel, the grand ballroom buzzed with excitement as guests began to arrive. Both the bride and groom shared a few special moments with their families before walking down the aisle. The smiles and happy tears continued as Jess and Jeff met at the altar to say their vows. Paul, the pastor and also a member of the Epic Church family, recounted the highlights of their relationship and led the couple in exchanging their rings. There were cheers and a standing ovation as they were finally pronounced husband and wife.

The bridal party and newlyweds danced their way into the reception, only hinting at the fun that was to come. This crew did not disappoint. The dance floor literally overflowed as everyone tried to find a spot to show off their best moves. Everyone stayed on their feet throughout the reception, pausing only to take photos at the Polaroid photo booth or eat cake. What a beautiful day honoring the greatest couple. It was a joy to be a part of the celebration!
