Jay & Alison’s day began with beautiful weather. We met the bride and groom at Chubb Hotel, set on 300 woodland acres, this relaxed, modern hotel and conference center is a wonderfully secluded location nearby Philadelphia. Allison was calm yet eager for the day ahead. Her girls were equally excited. We popped champagne and the celebrations began.
Allison shared a sweet first look with her father. I’m a daddy’s girl, so these moments always get me. Allison teared up as she hugged her dad, her father doing the same.
A few floors below Jay was prepping for the day as well, anxious to see his bride. It wasn’t long before we were on the grounds of Valley Green Inn. Valley Green is a hidden gem of Philadelphia. The Inn is rumored to have been established back in the late 1600’s. It is nestled in the Wissahickon right along the water, providing the most beautiful backdrop. The venue, in combination with the weather, was pure perfection.
Jay turned to see his bride, beaming from ear to ear. We met up with the rest of their crew, taking advantage of all the beauty that surrounded us.
The ceremony was sweet and sentimental. Set outdoors, the white chairs invited guests to come and witness Jay and Allison declaring their love for one another.
Jay & Allison are friends from a past TMI couple, and with that track record, we had a hunch that the reception would be a blast. And it did not disappoint. After the heartfelt speeches were given, and a delicious dinner shared, this bunch was ready to party. It was quite the celebration!
What and honor it was to be a part of this day! Thank you to the new Mr. & Mrs. Preston for having us.
