Jason & Kelly {Wedding by Tessa}

“There are all kinds of live in the world
but never the same love twice.”
– F. Scott FitzgeraldJason & Kelly {Wedding by Tessa}

He was 15 and she was 14. It was the highschool days of garage bands, movie theater nights and the great anticipation of a full life of possibilities ahead. While we hear of these young loves, it is often as a story in a past life. But the rare occurrence of when it sticks, when the love that formed so innocently grows into a forever kind of thing, those are the tried and true loves.

Jason and Kelly are one of these true loves. They have built this wonderful life together, from adolescence to adulthood. Through that they have achieved such great depth. Yet, even after all these years, their love for one another can be felt as soon as they enter the room.

These kind of weddings are always so special. When two people have been together through so much time and so much growth their day is a different kind of celebration. It seems to be more of a testimony to their commitment and their continual choosing of one another. With this depth, comes the accompanying friendships. Not only was this day about the couple, but it was so much about the friends that have walked beside them through the years. It is so evident the impact these two have had to all close to them.

I loved how the Maid of Honor described their connection. We have all often heard that we all have three loves in our lives. The first is typically the “first love”, the one that teaches you what the word means. It is often the young love. Then comes the “hard love”. This is the one that teaches you who you are and is laced with lessons and growth. Then the “final love”, the love that lasts. The one that is suppose to be. The love that we come together with someone and it just fits. How many people can you say are all three of those loves-in-one? Jason and Kelly are that couple.

Though the winter temperatures have surely arrived, this couple was a joy to work with. They braved the chill for their portrait session, cuddling to stay warm and making our job a dream.

What a celebration it was! Thank-you for having Haley and I be a part of it.
