Jake & Morgan {Wedding by Haley}

and I write you into everything I do,
everything I see,
everything I touch,
and everything I dream,
you are the words that fill my pages.”

Jake & Morgan {Wedding by Haley}

I don’t know if I know of anyone that was more excited to get married than Morgan was to marry Jake. From the time we had our first consultation, to their engagement session, to all the times we chatted leading up to this day, I could just feel her buzzing with excitement and confidence that no matter what happened, at the end of it all she would be married to her best friend. On this chilly October morning we arrived at the venue to find it being set up for the couple to say their I dos in just a few hours. I met the girls at a hotel nearby where they were getting ready putting last minute touches on hair and makeup. Morgan slipped into her dress with the help of her mom and sister. She glowed as her maid of honor helped her into her shoes and jewelry. Back at the barn we found the ceremony ready for guests, and the groom spending the last few minutes relaxing with his groomsmen.

A short walk down the road the ceremony commenced. Three nieces lead the way, two being pulled by the oldest one in a red wagon, and bringing smiles to everyone in attendance. As Morgan made her way to the back of the aisle behind a set of doors, Jake closed his eyes waiting until the very last moment to see his bride. When the doors opened Jake’s eyes welled up immediately, both bride and groom barely containing their emotion as the met at the altar to say their vows. Jake’s dad performed the ceremony and Morgan and Jake read vows to each other that brought more tears to each others eyes. They shared a sand ceremony, each pouring a different color sand into a monogrammed hourglass. After a kiss they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Oxenford and walked back down the aisle hand in hand, and grinning from ear to ear. Morgan and Jake dismissed their guests by rows, giving them the chance to greet each one individually. They were able to take in the beautiful day and their new titles as husband and wife as we walked all around the gorgeous property.

Back up at the barn guests enjoyed catching up over cocktails, and found their seats as they prepared to welcome the bride and groom. The new Mr. and Mrs. were announced once again to cheers of their friends and families. They took the dance floor and shared a dance to one of their favorite songs, then each shared a dance with their respective parent. Speeches and toasts were made and dinner was served. When their bellies were full, guests filled the dance floor where they stayed all evening long. When it was time to leave, everyone lined up outside the barn with glow sticks to cap off the night and send the new couple off. Victoria and I had so much fun being a part of this day, and we wish our best to the new Mr. and Mrs. Oxenford!
