David & Emily’s love story is a bit serendipitous. They met their freshman year of college through mutual friends but at the time were going to different schools. They became friends on Facebook and didn’t see each other for five years when they ran into each during Philly’s St Patty’s celebration, Erin Express. They ran into each other three other times short there after, while Emily was in the middle of a move to Philadelphia, where David was already residing. Talk about fate. They figured they should give this thing a try and set their first date for August 25, 2015. Over three years later, they are going strong and making plans for their August 2019 wedding.
David describes their relationship so well, “I love how great we are individually, but how much better we are together.” And it’s true, they compliment each other so very well. There is a deep sense of trust in who they are as individual people but also with what they can conquer together.
This couple chose their own e-session spot and I cannot tell you how I excited I was to scout it. The Schuylkill Center is tucked away in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia and is a little slice of magic. The wooded area has a picturesque quality about it, that is hard to find in the city. I was ranting and raving about the location from start to finish. Not only was the spot amazing, but somehow the couple topped it. I felt like I was hanging with old friends all evening.
