I thought I had been to just about every New Jersey beach by this point – but Long Beach Island was one that I hadn’t gotten to visit until recently. When Alex and Elizabeth suggested this beach for their engagement session, I was super excited. Alex’s parents have a house just over the bridge where they spent the day before meeting up with me. We explored the length of the island, and let me tell you, there is a lot to explore. We started at the very north tip where there is a lighthouse and a rocky pier that stretches out into the bay, then hit the beach just in time for a beautiful golden hour before heading to Fantasy Island – a small amusement park at the south end.
Although we had to reschedule this session multiple times, I am glad we waited because we got lucky with the most perfect day. I had the best time letting Elizabeth and Alex show me around to their favorite places. They are the sweetest, and I felt like I had already known them for a long time after only an hour. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall!
