“You are my blue crayon,
the one I never have enough of,
the one I use to color my sky.”

If there is a dream couple that photographer’s have in mind, it is Alan & Julie. They are fun and dynamic, flexible, simply adore one another and picked the most photographically appealing venue. All of which translates effortlessly in front of our lens.
The girls prepped in Hotel Monaco, every inch of this place is fun to photograph. From the moment you step into the lobby you are met with fun colors and patterns and beautiful light. The boys prepped on the rooftop in the Stratus Lounge. The space, a perfect compliment to the dashing groom and groomsmen.
Julie is dynamic. She has this fun and playful side but yet can slip into this killer sultry side, her beauty commanding attention. She chose the most perfect gown to match both sides. A sleek and sophisticated cut, with a little surprise on the side with the open laced detail.
Flexibility came into play when October 8th showed several pockets of rain, mixed with this crazy Fall we were having, the humidity was rearing its head. We watched the radar closely. The boys were totally up for gallivanting with Haley and Victoria all over the surrounding properties, even with the clouds misting. The girls, never once complained with our frequent trips up and down the elevator taking advantage of the covered areas on the rooftop as well as meeting the boys outdoors.
And then there was the first look…
Alan was visibly nervous, his bride equally as anxious to see him. But once he turned all apprehension and uneasiness fled. He covered his heart, not quite being able to believe the beauty before him. It was straight magic.
This adoration and love played out throughout the whole day. From the signing of the Ketubah, where the two shared an occasional kiss and looks of adoration as their witnesses signed the document and they were FINALLY united in holy matrimony.
If that wasn’t enough, there was a whole ceremony awaiting, where friends and family gathered. Julie teared up as she walked arm and arm with her mother down the aisle to her groom. They shared heartfelt vows, expressing verbally that although their football teams are very different, (Eagles & Redskins), their love is greater. (If that isn’t true love, I don’t know what is)
These two know how to throw a party. From start to finish the day was a joy. Coming off of two previous weddings that weekend, there was a slight worry that our team would be running off of steam. That couldn’t have been further from the truth. Alan & Julie were such a joy and reminded us, yet again, why we are so honored and privileged to be able to document these love stories.
Thank-you for having us at your celebration! We couldn’t have loved you guys more!
